Mette will do study administration in relation to the bachelor’s programme in Economics and Business Administration (HA) (3. and 4. semester). Among other things, she will be responsible for updating Moodle, AAU’s virtual learning environment for students, with relevant information. She will also work with Summer School which is an offer for students in the master’s programme in Auditing to take electives during August and September.
Office assistant in public administration
Mette is a trained office assistant in public administration. She took her education in the Danish Armed Forces at Flyvematerielkommandoen (the Air Force Materiel Command) in Nørresundby.
Before coming to AAUBS, she was employed in the Armed Forces for 18 years in various administrative jobs, working with e.g., customer service, journalising and finance. She has also been employed by the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet) as a coordinator, working with budgets, invoicing, management support and journalising.
Flexibility, mutual respect, inclusiveness and good feedback
A good working day for Mette is when there is a good atmosphere and sense of community among her and her colleagues. She appreciates flexibility, mutual respect, inclusiveness and good feedback, and she always participates in social events and tries to be open and accommodating towards everyone.
Private life
Mette lives in Vestbjerg with her husband Jesper and their two sons Nikolai (18 years) and Sebastian (14). The family spends its free time renovating their house and doing the garden. They often use the hilly forest Hammer Bakker for both mountain biking and jogging.
Mette likes spending time with her friends and she often takes a trip to a cafe or to concerts.
