Casper Gamborg Holm holds a master’s degree in Organisation and Strategy and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Aalborg University. He graduated in June 2021.
Previously, Casper has been working at a festival called Alive Festival as bookkeeper and co-organizer for the last five years. He has been both an intern at Aalborg University Business School as well as a Student Assistant last spring. In his gap year, he spent time in the fishing industry on the Danish west coast packing, filleting and sending fish to most of South and Western Europe.
Research within strategy and management
Casper mainly works within the field of strategy and management. He is a part of the Strategic Management Lab at AAUBS. During the last year, he has been working with Jens Holmgren, Louise Kringelum and Ole Friis on “Strategibarometeret” (the strategy barometer). In this project, they examine the strategy work of Danish organisations to see the status of both private and public organisations’ strategy work. Casper mainly works on the data collection and data analysis, but he is also involved in the following academic work.
Casper also works with business models as a strategic tool and is a part of the project Forretningsudvikling Nordjylland (Business Development North Jutland) which focuses on mapping business models of North Jutlandic companies and organisations.
The goal of Casper’s research is primarily to give organisations a helping hand with the strategic issues they are facing. Casper is currently working with strategic development of companies within the Power to X industry. The industry is dealing with the transformation of power (wind power e.g.) to different types of fuels, to create a more sustainable transportation and utilization of the energy sources that we have. The industry is still very young, and some organisations need a hand dealing with their strategic choices.
Furthermore, he is working with Siemens Gamesa Aalborg now and has been working with them in his master thesis as well, trying to help the company with its strategic issues.
Private life
Casper lives in Aalborg and enjoys the culture within the city, especially the different music venues. He is also very passionate about spending time in nature whether it is just going for a walk or fishing the Danish coasts.
